Icelandics in Northern England
In the North of England, the main Icelandic activity is
in Cumbria at Midfield Farm where there is an oval track
and many foals born each year, with the judged stallion
Flytir from Siamber Wen a popular sire. Competitions and
training are also held at Kirsty and Frank Carson's
place at Etal in Northumberland, including a series of
Tölt competitions. In addition several IHSGB members
enjoy taking part in endurance riding and competitions.
If you don't have your own Icelandic yet and want to
know more about the friendly Icelandic horse scene in
Northern England, then please contact one of the IHSGB
members who will be really happy to talk to you.
